As prices fall, existing-home sales are on the upswing in northeast Florida, especially in Gainesville, where the number of sales increased this spring 91% over the prior year. Here’s a look at the increase in sales; decrease in price; and average sale price for Gainesville, Jacksonville and Ocala:

Gainesville: Up 91%; 8% drop in average price to $165,200

Jacksonville: Up 56%; 6% drop in average price to $142,700

Ocala: Up 66%; 10% drop in average price to $99,800
